Fatal crash on Route 105, Sheldon

SHELDON — A 34-year-old man was killed and four others seriously injured following a crash in Sheldon on Thursday.

The single-vehicle crash took place on Route 105 at around 4:00 p.m.

Police say they rendered aid to the occupants until Enosburg Rescue arrived.

Four of the five occupants were transported to Northwestern Medical Center.

Police say, Joseph Clair, of Sheldon, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The vehicle involved was a 2014 Chevy Silverado being driven by Candy A. Clair, 59, of Sheldon.

According to the report, Clair was headed east on Route 105 when her truck veered off the eastbound side of the road and hit a tree head-on.

Police are still investigating this crash.
