RUTLAND — A 31-year-old man from Fair Haven was arrested for negligent operation following an incident in Rutland yesterday.
Police say they initiated a traffic stop on Business Route 4 at around 5:30 p.m.
The driver was identified as Christopher Hart.
Hart was taken into custody and transported to the State Police Rutland barracks for processing.
Hart received a VCVC for operating 78 miles-per-hour in the posted 40 miles-per-hour zone on Business Route 4.
He was given a criminal citation to appear in court on March 7.
