WALMART — Police are investigating after a pedestrian was struck by a car in Bennington.
Authorities were notified that a pedestrian was hit by a vehicle that left the scene at the Walmart parking lot.
Video surveillance footage shows a newer model white SUV striking the pedestrian.
The driver is described as a middle-aged man.
He is seen stopping his vehicle and trying to pick up the pedestrian.
Police say the man is then seen dropping the pedestrian back onto the ground and leaving the parking lot.
They are currently gathering video footage of the incident.
