Medical condition causes single-vehicle crash on I-89, Waterbury

WATERBURY — A 31-year-old woman from Williamstown was involved in a single-vehicle crash in Waterbury yesterday.

The crash took place on Interstate 89 north at around 12:10 p.m.

Due to the crash, northbound traffic was reduced to one lane and reduced speed for a short period of time.

Police say the cause of the crash is suspected to be medical in nature.

The driver, identified as Molly Nelson, was transported to the University of Vermont Medical Center for evaluation.
