Single-vehicle crash in Sheldon

SHELDON — A 63-year-old man from St. Albans was involved in a single-vehicle crash in Sheldon yesterday.

The crash took place near the intersection of Route 105 and Woods Hill Road at around 12:55 p.m.

According to the report, David Cyr was headed west along Route 105 negotiating a curve in the road prior to the crash.

The vehicle left the road and hit a patch of snow and slush off the shoulder.

As a result, Cyr overcorrected crossed the center line and left the road off the eastbound shoulder of Route 105.

Police say once off the road, he traveled down a slight hill causing it to tip over and land on the passenger side of the vehicle.

Cyr did not report any injuries and the vehicle was ultimately towed away from the scene due to disabling damage.
