Driver charged after crash in Waterbury

WATERBURY — A 27-year old man from Waterbury is facing charges after police say he left the scene of an accident on Monday.

Police were notified of a motor vehicle crash at the intersection of Vermont Route 2 and Route 100 at the Waterbury roundabout at around 4:10 p.m.

A witness told police that the driver had left the scene.

Police allege the driver of the vehicle was identified at his residence in Waterbury, as Devin Sherman.

He was issued a citation to appear in the Washington County Superior Court.

He is being charged with leaving the scene of an accident, as well as providing false information to a police officer.
