70-year-old man hit by car in Dorset

DORSET — A 70-year-old pedestrian was hit by a car in Dorset yesterday.

The incident took place on Vermont Route 7A at around 6:20 p.m.

Police say Peter Riker, of Dorset, was crossing the road when he was hit by a 2008 Toyota Camry driven by Jacob M. Keegan, 23, of Nassau, NY.

Riker was flown to Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center for treatment of suspected head and leg injuries.

Police are still investigating this crash.
