2 arrested after fight, gun incident in Montpelier

MONTPELIER — Two men were arrested for aggravated disorderly conduct following a fight in Montpelier on Tuesday.

Authorities were notified of an altercation ongoing in a parking lot just off of Main Street on Stonecutter’s Way at around 7:00 p.m.

Police say the involved parties were in an argument and a physical altercation between family members.

The situation escalated when a passerby inserted themselves into the altercation and one of original involved parties displayed a pistol.

Police say the weapon was seized as evidence.

Following an investigation, police say a 25-year-old man from Roxbury, and a 30-year-old man from Northfield had committed the crimes.

Police have not released their names at this time.
