Fair Haven man arrested for violating court order

FAIR HAVEN — A 46-year-old man was arrested following an incident in Fair Haven on Monday.

Authorities were notified of a reported violation of a court order at Green Mountain Mobile Manor at around 8:30 a.m.

The caller told police that they believed Mitchell L. Matteson, of Fair Haven, had entered their home while they were gone and took items from the home.

Following an investigation, Police found that Matteson had allegedly entered the home of a person whom he was ordered to stay away from which was a violation of court order.

He was placed on conditions of release by Judge David Fenster, ordering him to not enter the lands or premises of the home of the caller.

Following an investigation, police allege that Matteson admitted to his involvement in the incident.

He was arrested and issued a citation to appear in court to answer the charge.
