Cow falls off livestock hauling trailer in Rockingham

ROCKINGHAM — Police say a cow fell off a livestock hauling trailer in Rockingham yesterday.

Authorities were notified of an injured cow lying in the northbound lane of Vermont Route 103 at the intersection of Williams Road at around 10:45 a.m.

The northbound lane was closed until the cow was safely moved off the road.

At this time the owner of the cow has not been located or identified, police say.

Anyone with information relating to the identity of the owner is being asked to contact the Vermont State Police at the Westminster barracks at 802-722-4600.
