Sergeant Molgano retires from the Springfield Police Department

SPRINGFIELD — Detective Sergeant Gregory Molgano retired today from the Springfield Police Department.

Molgano began his law enforcement career in 1999, as a Deputy Sheriff with the Windham County Sheriff’s Department.

He came to work for the town of Springfield as a patrolman in 2004.

In his time at the Springfield Police Department, Sergeant Molgano spent 15 years as a supervisor, 11 years as a death investigator, and 7 years as a field training officer.

The Springfield Police Department said that his years of knowledge and attention to detail during investigations will be missed.

“All of us here at Springfield PD wish Sergeant Molgano all the very best in his future endeavors,” a statement issued by the department reads.
