BARNET — A tractor-trailer crashed in Barnet yesterday, throwing lumber across the highway.
Authorities were notified of the rollover crash on Interstate 91 at around 5:00 p.m.
The driver, identified as Kevin Munkittrick, of Quebec, Canada, told police that he was avoiding a deer and lost control of this vehicle.
The vehicle along with a trailer stacked with lumber rode approximately 100 feet of guardrail and rolled over back onto the passing lane, police say.
The truck was totaled and lumber was spilled throughout the Interstate.
The Barnet Fire Department, B&B towing, Ray’s Auto, and other members of the local community assisted with the removal of the vehicle and the scattered lumber.
There were no injuries reported during the incident.
