Driver charged after found unresponsive parked in middle of road in Rockingham

ROCKINGHAM — A 32-year-old man from Brattleboro was arrested following an incident in Rockingham yesterday.

Authorities were notified of a vehicle parked in the middle of Cambridgeport Road at around 12:20 a.m., and the occupants inside were unresponsive.

The driver was identified as Christopher Baxter, was under the influence of an unknown substance, police say.

Baxter was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence of drugs and transported to the Westminster barracks for processing.

He was later released with a criminal citation and is scheduled to appear in court on January 25.
