FERRISBURGH — Police say two 18-year-old men from Essex were cited for excessive speeding following an incident in Ferrisburgh yesterday.
Authorities were notified of a row of vehicles traveling over the speed limit and passing unsafely at around 1:25 p.m.
Police say they observed two of the vehicles driving in excess of 90 miles-per-hour in a posted 50 miles-per-hour zone.
They initiated a traffic stop on both and identified the drivers as Chad Hotchkiss and Joseph Lemire.
Lemire and Hotchkiss were both issued criminal citations for the violation of excessive speed.
