Two-vehicle crash in Bristol

BRISTOL — Police responded to a two-vehicle crash in Bristol on Monday. 

The crash took place at the intersection of Monkton Road and Burpee Road at around 6:20 p.m.

Police identified the driver of each vehicle as Gregory Symula, 55, of Essex Junction, and Stephen Smith, 34, of Bristol.

According to the report, Symula was headed north on Burpee Road while Smith was traveling south on Monkton Road. 

Police say Symula disregarded a stop sign and entered the intersection without stopping, resulting in a broadside collision.

Both drivers were wearing their seatbelts and no injuries resulted from this crash. 

State police were assisted on scene by the Bristol Fire Department and Rescue Squad.
