WASHINGTON — A 20-year-old man from Barre was arrested on multiple charges in Washington yesterday.
Authorities say they received multiple reports that Peter Pinsonneault was operating a vehicle in a grossly negligent manner on Vermont Route 110 at around 12:00 a.m.
Police responded to the area but were unable to locate the vehicle.
Yesterday, police say they observed Pinsonneault’s vehicle on Donna Lane and attempted to enact a traffic stop for an observed motor vehicle infraction.
Pinsonneault attempted to elude troopers at a high rate of speed and the pursuit was terminated.
Police located Pinsonneault at his home.
Following an investigation, police say Pinsonneault had operated his motor vehicle in a grossly negligent manner while attempting to elude them.
Police also say he had a criminally suspended driver’s license and had multiple passengers in the vehicle, including two juveniles, when he attempted to elude law enforcement.
Pinsonneault was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Vermont State Police Middlesex barracks for processing.
He was issued a citation to appear in court on May 11 and released.
