Attempted burglary, vandalism at Boutin’s Mini Market

TROY — Police are looking for a man involved in an attempted burglary at a convenience store in Troy early this morning.

An employee at Boutin’s Mini Market notified police after noticing a heavily damaged exterior door on the building when arriving at work this morning.

Police say no entry was made inside the store.

A review of exterior surveillance footage showed a lone white male of average build and height take numerous swings at the exterior door with a heavy object.

Further damage to a gas pump and mailbox was done by the suspect upon walking away from the building.

He was captured by surveillance cameras swinging the object at a gas pump several times.

The incident took place at around 4:00 a.m.
