SHELDON — A 54-year-old woman from Franklin was arrested following an incident in Sheldon early this morning.
Authorities were notified that a vehicle had struck a house at the intersection of Route 78 and Rice Hill Road, at around 12:00 a.m.
Police say the caller reported that the vehicle fled the scene but broke down on Dunton Road.
Police say the driver, identified as Leshia Ovitt, was found to be under the influence of alcohol.
She was arrested and transported to the barracks for processing.
Ovitt was released on a citation to appear in court on November 9 for DUI refusal and leaving the scene of an accident.
