Leicester woman arrested for assaulting household member with a deadly weapon

LEICESTER — A 31-year-old woman was arrested on multiple charges following an incident in Leicester on Sunday.

Authorities were notified of an assault at a home on US Route 7 at around 9:00 p.m.

Police allege that Tanya Brace, of Leicester, had entered the residence knowing she is not privileged to do so. 

Brace subsequently caused damage to the home and operated a vehicle she also had no right to use.  

According to the report, Brace returned to the home and assaulted a household member using a deadly weapon. 

Using the same weapon, police say Brace also caused damage to the vehicle.

She was placed under arrest and transported to the New Haven barracks for processing.

Troopers were assisted on scene by members of the Middlebury Police Department.
