SALISBURY — A 17-year-old from Brandon was arrested on multiple charges following a crash in Salisbury on Sunday.
The single-vehicle crash took place on US Route 7 at around 12:45 a.m.
Police say the vehicle was headed south when it left the road, hit a mailbox, and came to rest in a ditch after striking a tree.
According to the report, the juvenile driver had left the scene of the crash and was later located by police.
While speaking with the juvenile, police say they detected signs of impairment.
The driver was screened for DUI and placed under arrest for suspicion of DUI, negligent operation, and leaving the scene of an accident.
The juvenile was transported to the New Haven barracks for processing and later released with a citation to appear in court at a later date.
Police say nobody was injured during this incident.
