Motorcycle rider injured during crash in Georgia

GEORGIA — Police responded to a two-vehicle crash in Georgia on Saturday.

According to the report, a motorcycle crashed into a truck on Interstate 89 at around 4:50 p.m.

The motorcycle rider was identified as Ian M. Desotell, 21, of St. Albans. 

Desotell was transported to the University of Vermont Medical Center. 

The driver of the truck was identified as Sondra L. Alexander, 43, of Middlebury.

Alexander did not sustain any injuries.

According to the report, Desotell was headed southbound on I-89 in the passing lane. 

Alexander merged into the passing lane approximately a quarter-mile in front of Desotell. 

Desotell hit Alexander in the rear passenger side. 

Police are still investigating this crash.

State police were assisted by the Georgia Fire & Rescue Department, Franklin County Sheriff’s Department, J&L Towing, and AmCare Rescue Squad.
