Ferrisburgh man arrested for assault, criminal threatening

FERRISBURGH — A 33-year-old man was arrested on multiple charges following an incident in Ferrisburgh on Tuesday. 

Authorities were notified that a man brandishing a large knife was at a home on Button Bay Road at around 11:05 p.m.

Following an investigation, police allege that Jorge L. Velazquez Cordova, of Ferrisburgh, had physically assaulted a household member during the incident. 

He was transported to the New Haven State Police barracks for processing. 

He was lodged without bail at Marble Valley Correctional Facility and faced charges of 1st degree aggravated domestic assault, criminal threatening, and false information to law enforcement. 

Vermont State Police were assisted by Middlebury Police Department and Vergennes Police Department.
