Driver arrested following crash in Waterbury

WATERBURY — A 74-year-old man from Waterbury was arrested following a two-vehicle crash yesterday. 

The crash took place on Harvey Farm Road in Waterbury at around 12:40 p.m.

According to the report, Timothy Freeman collided with Chad Ummel, 46, of Waterbury.  

Police say after the collision, a brief dispute occurred and Freeman left the scene before they arrived.  

State Police spoke with Freeman at his home shortly afterwards.  

He was arrested for DUI, leaving the scene of an accident, and disorderly conduct.

He was issued a citation to appear in court for the offenses of driving under the influence of intoxicants, leaving the scene of an accident, and disorderly conduct. 

Police say nobody was injured in this crash.
