LYNDON — A vehicle struck a pedestrian in Lyndon on Sunday.
Emergency workers were notified of the incident on Back Center Road at around 8:05 p.m.
According to the report, the driver was headed south when she struck a 17-year-old pedestrian from Lyndon who was crossing the road.
Police say the pedestrian was in the middle of the crosswalk, and the driver attempted to hit the brakes to avoid striking him.
The pedestrian was thrown into the windshield, rolling over and striking the ground.
He suffered minor scratches and bruising to his hips, forehead, and knees, and was taken to Northeastern Vermont Regional Hospital.
There was severe damage to the windshield of the vehicle, police say.
