Wrong-way driver on I-91 in Rockingham arrested

ROCKINGHAM — A 25-year-old man from Barre was arrested following an incident in Rockingham yesterday.

Authorities were notified of a wrong way driver on Interstate 91 North at around 9:55 p.m.

Police say they responded to the area and located the vehicle stopped on the shoulder and facing the wrong direction. 

The driver was identified as Quinton Walker-Clayton. 

While speaking with Walker-Clayton, police say they observed signs of impairment. 

He was arrested for suspicion of DUI and negligent operation, and transported to the Westminster State Police barracks for processing.
