LINCOLN — A 36-year-old man from Bristol was arrested on multiple charges following a crash in Lincoln on Saturday.
The single-vehicle crash took place on S. Lincoln Road at around 6:35 p.m.
Police identified the driver as Dakota Yankton.
Following an investigation, police found that Yankton was headed south when he attempted to pass another vehicle using the northbound lane.
Yankton lost control of the vehicle, hit a guardrail, and left the north bound portion of the road where the vehicle came to rest.
While speaking with Yankton, police say they detected signs of impairment.
He was screened for DUI and placed under arrest for suspicion of DUI #2 and negligent operation.
He attempted to resist arrest, police say.
He was transported to the New Haven barracks for processing and later released with a citation to appear in court at a later date.
