GUILFORD — A 33-year-old man from Massachusetts was arrested following a crash in Guilford on Sunday.
The single-vehicle crash took place on US Route 5 at around 8:00 p.m.
Police say they were advised of possible impairment of one of the operators prior to arrival.
The driver was identified as Christopher Shattuck, of South Hadley, MA.
Police say they found Shattuck to be intoxicated and he was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence, and negligent operation.
According to police, Shattuck crossed the yellow center line and hit an oncoming vehicle.
That vehicle left the road and crashed into a parked van.
Shattuck was transported to the State Police barracks in Westminster where he was processed.
He was issued a criminal citation to appear in court on September 21 to answer to the charges and released.
