Driver cited following crash in Stamford

STAMFORD — A 36-year-old woman from Massachusetts was cited for negligent operation following a crash with minor injuries in Stamford last Wednesday.

The single-vehicle crash took place on Route 100 at around 10:55 p.m.

According to the report, the driver, Monique Rock, of Clarksburg, MA, was operating too fast for conditions and attempting to pass multiple vehicles at the same time.

Police say Rock’s vehicle ultimately left the roadway colliding with a tree and small fence. 

Rock was treated for minor injuries.

State police were assisted by the Stamford Fire Department.
