ADDISON — A 25-year-old man from New Haven was involved in an ATV crash following an incident in Addison early Saturday morning.
The crash took place on Vermont Route 22A at around 1:15 a.m.
Police say two of the passengers were being transported to Porter Medical Center, and it was discovered that the driver had left the scene.
Following an investigation, the driver was identified as Kyle Delphia.
Police say Delphia contacted them an hour later and voluntarily met with Troopers in New Haven.
During the course of interviewing Delphia, police say he exhibited multiple indicators of alcohol impairment and was screened for DUI.
Delphia requested to be seen by rescue for injuries sustained in the crash.
He was transported to Porter Medical Center for an evaluation and was issued a citation to appear in court on August 2.
State police were assisted by the Vergences Rescue, Middlebury Rescue, Addison Rescue, and local area Fire Departments.
