1 min read

LOWELL — Green Mountain Power says this summer they are bringing back tours at the Kingdom Community Wind Project in Lowell.

After suspending plans for public tours due to the pandemic in 2020, this year marks the seventh year the tours will run.

Hundreds of Vermonters and tourists visit the wind farm each year to learn about how wind energy works.

The tours are free and last about 90 minutes, with GMP experts guiding visitors to two of the project’s 21 wind turbines.

This year’s tour dates include Wednesday, June 30, at 10 a.m., and Saturday, July 24, at 10 a.m.
