Plant sale to benefit Old Stone House Museum this weekend

BROWNINGTON — The Old Stone House Museum will be hosting a plant sale this weekend to benefit their 2021 season.

Garden and perennial starts will be available May 29 and 30 from 11:00 a.m to 5:00 p.m.

All sales will go to benefit the museum, including educational programs and public events like their free 2021 speaker series and free Kids’ Friday program.

During the sale, the museum will have plant starters for sale for $1. They will include jumpin’ pansies, pansies, and snowdrops.

For $3 you can pick up garden vegetables, spiderwort, gooseneck loosestrife, yellow loosestrife, catnip, heliopsis, rudbeckia, bee balm, a variety of tomato starts, green cabbage starts, red cabbage starts, kohlrabi starts, brussel sprout starts, broccoli starts, along with hot and sweet pepper starts.

For $5 you can grab hostas, daylilies, and lemon lilies.

The museum says all plants will be high-quality, fresh, and young, coming from the gardens of local staff members.
