Fatal crash in Charleston

CHARLESTON — A 77-year-old man was killed during a single-vehicle crash in Charleston today.

Emergency workers responded to the crash scene at the intersection of Chilafoux Road and Gay Hill Road at around 2:10 p.m.

Police say Frank Amatruda, of Charleston, left the roadway when traveling north on Chilafoux Road, overturning his 2013 Chevrolet Truck.

EMS transported Amatruda to North Country Hospital where he was later pronounced deceased.

Police say they are still investigating the crash at this time.
