NEKHS seeks community input in search for new director

1 min read

NEWPORT — The board at Northeast Kingdom Human Services is inviting the community to participate in their search for a new director at the agency.

The board recently hired Julie Tessler and Simone Rueschemeyer as consultants in this process.

In the next two weeks, they will be holding a series of virtual focus groups to further refine the type of candidate needed and desired to head the agency at this crucial time as it deals with reinstating its full designation, confronting the challenges of payment reform, and preparing for the mental health effects of the Covid pandemic.

The forum planned for the general public will be held on May 6 at 5:00 p.m.

A link to this meeting can be obtained by calling Colleen Bosse at 802-334-6744 ext. 2376 or by visiting the NKHS website.

In addition, the board is opening an online survey to the public, which can be accessed HERE.

Information obtained through both venues will be distilled and utilized to create a profile that will be used for the job posting and description, as well as for the criteria for screening and selecting candidates.

Members of the public who wish to participate are encouraged to join both activities and if interested in participating further, such as in interviews of the final candidates, indicate their willingness at the time.
