Shots fired at home in Brighton

BRIGHTON — Police are investigating after someone fired three shots at a home in Brighton on Thursday night.

At around 10:50 p.m. police responded to Railroad Street after a report came in that an unknown person had shot into the residence of a 29-year-old woman.

Investigators say three bullets were fired through a front porch window into the front door of the residence.

A light-colored vehicle with a loud exhaust was observed by the victim fleeing the scene.

Police say no injuries were reported.

The incident comes after a home in Addison County was hit with 9 bullets earlier in the day, but police have not said if the incidents were related.
