DERBY — Each of the three Fred’s Energy offices collected toys again this year for local non-profit programs.

The Lamoille Family Center’s “Holiday Project,” the St. Johnsbury Fire Department’s “Santa Fund,” and the NEKCA & Northpoint “Toys for Kids” toy drive all benefited from this year’s donations.

With the current pandemic and many still out of work, as well as small businesses still struggling, Fred’s Energy representatives said that the local generosity was incredibly heartwarming.

Everyone who donated a toy was eligible to enter for a chance to win 100 gallons of propane or heating oil and a 3-foot tall ultimate snowman gift tower filled with holiday treats, all courtesy of Fred’s Energy.

One name was randomly selected at each of the three office locations.

This year’s winners were Melissa Rose of Lake Elmore, Nancy Hartwell from Lyndonville, and Kelley Leonard of Island Pond.

Fred’s Energy issued a statement with special appreciation to the Stowells of Lyndonville for their monetary donation.

Through each non-profit organization, all toys collected are being distributed right back into our local communities.
