BARTON — A 36-year-old man from Georgia was charged with DUI-drugs following an early morning crash in Barton yesterday.
Police were notified that a single-vehicle crash took place on I-91 north at around 12:48 a.m.
According to the report, the tractor-trailer unit collided with and drove along 750 feet of guard rail, coming to rest in the grassy interstate median.
The truck was still running and the operator was missing when police arrived.
The driver was identified as Refael Harris, of Marshallville, GA.
He was later located at the Sunoco in Orleans.
Due to his unusual behavior, police screened Harris for DUI.
He was transported to North Country Hospital and issued a citation to appear in court for the charge of DUI-drugs.
