COVENTRY — A driver was injured after a tractor-trailer crash shut down a section of Route 5 in Coventry today.
Emergency workers were notified of the crash near the intersection of Airport Road at around 9:30 a.m.
State police, along with Newport EMS, Newport Fire, the Newport Police Department, and the Orleans Country Sheriff’s Department responded to the scene to assist.
The driver, identified as Raynel Breault, 42, of Essex Junction, was transported to North Country Hospital for what police describe as non-life-threatening injuries.
According to the report, Breault left the roadway to the right, struck a guardrail, and crashed into a boulder off of the roadway.
Police say the investigation is still ongoing.
