MANCHESTER — Green Mountain Academy for Lifelong Learning continues its yearlong “Women ’20-’20” celebration by welcoming Anne Galloway, founder and editor of VTDigger, to talk about the important role of women in the news business.

The talk will take place on Tuesday, August 25 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. via Zoom.

What began as a one-woman operation to cover state politics grew to a two-million-dollar nonprofit daily news business with a staff of twenty-five.

Come learn from the founder of VTDigger how it all began.

The talk will also cover the future of local news in this exceedingly challenging time, and the power of investigative journalism to effect change at a time when public access to information and perception of the news has been fundamentally changed by the Internet.

Ms. Galloway will also discuss the impact women are making in the news business.

Registration for the talk is $10 in advance.
