Lyndonville man killed during logging accident

STOCKBRIDGE — A 58-year-old Lyndonville man was killed during a logging accident in Stockbridge yesterday.

Police were notified by an individual that a co-worker was found unresponsive off River Road at around 12:27 p.m.

Authorities say they responded to the scene, where James W. Gilman was pronounced dead.

According to the report, while cutting a felled tree, Gilman was hit and killed by an adjacent tree that became uprooted.
