Girl Scout from Glover receives highest honor a Junior can earn

1 min read

GLOVER — Ten-year-old Girl Scout Abbygail Warriner of Glover has become a Bronze Award Girl Scout for her project, “Shooting Star Sewing.”

Warriner stepped up in the face of the COVID-19 pandemic to sew masks.

She made over 100 masks for her community, including a local supermarket, and donated more to people in Oklahoma.

She plans to show her Girl Scout troop how to make more masks.

For the Bronze Award, Juniors, or girls who are in grades 4 and 5, take action with others to improve their communities, gain important leadership skills, and learn that even seemingly small actions can make a big impact.

It is the highest honor a Girl Scout Junior may earn.
