NEWPORT — A group of local students have recently been awarded scholarships from the Orleans County Board of Realtors.
Emma Drake of North Country Union High School received the Harold Haynes Scholarship.
Jackson King of Lake Region Union High School received the Terry Burdick Scholarship.
Dylan Simoneau and Benjamin Gilcris of Lake Region Union High School, and Nicholas Laramie, Samuel Roberts, and Emma Meunier of North Country Union High School also received awards.
Each year the board hosts a golf tournament to raise the funds to provide scholarships to local seniors.
The board said they congratulate all students on receiving this year’s scholarships and wish them a bright future as they continue their education.
