COVENTRY — A 47-year-old woman from Irasburg is facing DUI charges following a two-vehicle crash in Coventry on Friday.
Police and EMS responded to the crash which took place on Route 5 at around 10:00 p.m.
The road was temporarily closed as both vehicles were in the roadway with heavy front end damage.
The investigation, evidence at the scene, and witness statements indicated that Wendy Lacourse was traveling south when she crossed the center line and struck Tanis Rich head-on while he was traveling north, police said.
Both drivers were transported to North Country Hospital in Newport.
According to the report, Lacourse was processed for DUI as a result of the investigation.
