DERBY — A 50-year-old man from Massachusetts was injured during an ATV crash in Derby on Saturday.
The crash took place on Fish and Game Road at around 12:28 p.m.
Police say the driver, Larry Hitchcock Jr, of Ludlow, MA, sustained moderate injuries to his head, right leg, and shoulder.
Authorities say the ATV overturned on a downhill slope when Hitchcock turned the handlebars sharply.
He was transported by Newport Ambulance to North Country Hospital, and later taken to Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center for observation.
