DERBY — The Vermont State Police recently released a photo from a surveillance camera that shows a vehicle involved in a hit-and-run that took place in Derby earlier this year.

A pedestrian was struck by a car in the Price Chopper Parking lot on March 10, and the vehicle fled the scene.

The driver was described as a female between the age of 17 to 25-years-old, with long dark hair.

She was driving a black Nissan Versa with a Vermont License plate.

Police say the driver hit Christopher Copp, 47, of Brownington, while he was crossing the parking lot in the crosswalk.

According to the report, Copp sustained minor injuries.

Authorities are requesting assistance in identifying the driver and the vehicle.

The driver is facing charges of negligent operation and leaving the scene of an accident.
