DERBY LINE — Someone crashed through a fence at the Derby Line Cemetary, and police are asking for the public’s help in identifying the driver.
Police say the vehicle was traveling east on Baxter Avenue when it left the road and drove through the fence.
The vehicle caused significant damage to the fence and at least two headstones.
Police say the driver then continued traveling on the cemetery pathway before exiting the area.
According to police, the incident took place sometime between noon on Tuesday, and 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, April 8.
The damage is estimated to be between $5,000 to $10,000.
