NORTH TROY — A North Troy man made it his mission during the current pandemic, to deliver Easter baskets to local children.

Recently, Jason Griffith, with help from Maurissa Bunnell, spent eight hours delivering baskets across Orleans County.

Griffith is a man who moves fast on an idea.

“The idea came to me when getting a few groceries, which I ended up forgetting at the store,” he said jokingly. “I came up with the idea in the mid-afternoon on Friday, and by Saturday, they were all delivered before 7:00 p.m.

He stressed that he was doing this for kids who were at risk of going without this year.

“If you need baskets, not want, or know kids that will go without, send me a physical address and number of children boys/girls,” Griffith posted on Facebook, announcing his offer.

He even orchestrated 20 baskets to be dropped off at Troy School, so they could be delivered on the lunch.

In total, Griffith distributed over 104 baskets.

“The best part is the gratitude and the smiles,” he said.
