NEWPORT — A rollover crash with minor injuries in Newport yesterday temporarily closed down a section of I-91 south.
Police responded to the single-vehicle crash with entrapment at around 10:16 p.m.
The driver was identified as Pattama Paengkaew, 34, of Malden, MA. There were three passengers inside the vehicle.
All occupants sustained minor injuries and one was transported to North Country Hospital, police say.
According to the police report, the vehicle was traveling too fast for road conditions and Paengkaew lost control, causing the vehicle to travel into the median where it rolled over onto its side.
Police say both back seat passengers were not wearing seat belts at the time of the crash.
I-91 from exit 27 to exit 26 was closed for around one hour. Are you on Instagram? Cool. So are we. CLICK HERE to follow us for a behind the scenes look at Newport Dispatch.
