BARTON — A 21-year-old woman from Barton was charged yesterday for stealing a vehicle earlier this month.
Police say they were originally notified that a car was stolen from a home on Washington Street in Barton, back on November 1.
The stolen vehicle was recovered in Saint Albans the next day.
According to the police report, while investigating the suspect was identified as Desiree Lopez.
Police say they attempted to locate Lopez but were unsuccessful until yesterday.
Lopez was located by police and cited into court on charges of operating without owners consent, and larceny.
