Police looking for driver who took out several mailboxes in Derby

DERBY — Police are seeking the public’s help in identifying an individual who fled the scene after hitting mailboxes in Derby yesterday.

Police were notified of several mailboxes that had been struck and damaged by a vehicle on US Route 5 at around 2:20 a.m.

Police say the vehicle was a Dodge pick up truck, royal blue in color.

The truck will be missing a passenger side headlight and have substantial damage to the front bumper/fender area on the passenger side.

Evidence was collected from the scene, police say.
