NEWPORT — The Northern Third Quartet will appear in concert at the United Church of Newport, on Sunday, October 14.
Members of the quartet include violinist Sofia Hirsch, violist Elizabeth Reid, cellist John Dunlop, and pianist Alison Bruce Cerutti.
The quartet performs throughout Vermont.
They have recently been featured on Vermont Public Radio, performing works of students from the Music-COMP program.
Founded in 2013, the quartet is noted for its strength of ensemble playing and emotive musicality, offering audiences a showcase of Vermont’s remarkable talent.
The program will consist of Fauré c minor piano quartet and the world premiere of Erik Nielsen’s piano quartet.
The program begins at 3:00 p.m. and there is a suggested donation of $10 at the door.
